Article Processing Charge
DISTINCTION: Journal of Communication and Society is committed to supporting accessible and inclusive scholarly communication.
At present, DISTINCTION does not charge any Article Processing Charge (APC) or other publication-related fees to authors.
1. No Author Fees
Authors are not required to pay fees for:
- Manuscript submission;
- Editorial screening;
- Peer review;
- Manuscript processing;
- Copyediting;
- Proofreading;
- Publication.
Authors are therefore not required to make any payment at any stage of the submission, review, or publication process.
2. Open Access
Articles published in DISTINCTION are made openly accessible in accordance with the journal's Open Access Policy.
3. Future Changes in Publication Fees
The journal's current publication model is free of charge for authors.
If DISTINCTION introduces any publication-related fees in the future, the applicable policy, amount, purpose, and effective date will be clearly announced on the journal website before implementation.
Any future change in fees will not be applied retroactively to manuscripts submitted under the previous fee policy unless explicitly agreed upon by the authors.
4. Transparency
DISTINCTION is committed to maintaining transparency regarding all publication-related costs.
Authors should rely only on fee information officially published on the DISTINCTION journal website or communicated through the journal's official editorial channels.
